WEConnect International is a global non-profit called that supports women business owners – specifically they champion ‘supplier diversity’ and their goal is to connect up more majority owned women’s businesses (those that are 51% owned by one or more women) into the corporate supply chain. They work with a number of corporate organisations including the likes of Accenture, Coca Cola, Intel, Cisco and GSK. More information can be found online here: http://weconnectinternational.org/en/
On Thursday 14th November 2013 they are hosting a free event in Amsterdam with Accenture, IBM and the Royal Bank of Scotland and they would like to invite members of Britsoc to attend.
The event is an introductory session for female business owners to the topics of supplier diversity, strategic sourcing, working with WEConnect International’s corporate members and to WEConnect International. It will be a small event and they have just 50 places available for women business owners based in (or near) the Netherlands who own 51% or more of their business and who have products or services that might be bought be corporate organisations.
