Shakespeare’s 400th Birthday 2016
Some 400 years since his death in 1616 on his 52nd birthday, festivals, exhibitions and performances all around the world in 2016 celebrated the legacy of William Shakespeare, arguably the finest playwright and poet ever to write in the English language.
On Saturday 23 April 2016 at Greenwoods Tea House in Amsterdam (the British Society’s culinary and cultural headquarters), our very own Paul ‘Macbeth’ Huxley put together a memorable evening programme to commemorate our most famous son and his 400-year legacy.
