It’s the middle of January – cold, dark and grey. So what better than to lift your spirits by coming to the annual Britsoc Burns night ceilidh?
The life of Scotland’s most famous poet, Rabbie Burns, is celebrated around the world every year on his birthday. We’ll have a traditional Burns night dinner of haggis, neeps and tatties (haggis, turnips and potatoes!) followed by an evening of Scottish country dancing. No dancing experience necessary, as all dances will be walked through on the evening by Margaret Lambourne.
So come and watch the haggis being stabbed, listen to some great poetry and get some fast and furious exercise in the dancing.
And who knows, if you ask nicely, maybe somebody will tell you what Scotsmen wear under their kilts!!
For ticket reservations, please send a mail to Alison Fisher: email@example.com, stating names of the people coming, and whether any vegetarian meals are required.
Please note that all tickets are pre-paid; no tickets on the door.Contact Us
